That's apt to be doable in the not so distant future. Tailored
"viruses" that go in and alter DNA to fix genetic disorders are being
worked on.
Also, there are a *lot* more possibilities than XX and XY. Including
things like XY "males" who can't be told from females without a
really *thorough* physical exam, an MRI or a genetic test (Androgen
Insensitivity Syndrome)
